Vigilante

Coach Christian's training philosophy can be chalked up to 50% Coach Vigil, 25% two decades of running experience, and 25% trial and error. So who is Coach Vigil?

Coach Vigil

2015 USATF Legend Coach, 2015 IAAF NACAC Continental Area Legendary Coach, with 12 years high school, 28 years collegiate, and 20 years of Elite athlete coaching experience. He had 425 All Americans in college, along with 87 individual national champions. He's had 47 national champions at the professional level, 17 national records, and 20 medalist at the Olympics and World Championships. It's safe to say he knows his stuff. Coach Vigil gladly shares all his endless knowledge with Christian.

Aerobic Capacity

Most runner's aerobic capacity is not efficient enough for the event they are training for. Here's the good news; Everyone can increase their aerobic capacity by an impressive amount! This can be done by increasing the distance of their long runs, their overall mileage, but more specifically, increasing their aerobic tempo runs in distance.

Anaerobic Capacity

Anaerobic capacity might be even more neglected than aerobic capacity believe it or not. Many coaches still believe anaerobic capacity should only be worked on during the season. Coach Vigil has proved with case studies that this is false and our athletes have also put this to the test with great success.

Biomechanics

Most running related injuries are due to deficiencies in muscle groups or range of motion. Coach Christian refers to Anatomy for Runners, written by exercise scientist and bio-mechanic guru Jay Dicharry, to help pin point deficiencies in his athletes. One of the biggest keys to getting faster is simply staying healthy for consistent training, so we’ll work on that as well.
